Istanbul Tulip Festival

Every April since 2006, the city government in Istanbul has planted three million tulips in Istanbul's parks, avenues, traffic roundabouts and...really anywhere there is open ground.In Gulhane park recreation area in Istanbul Old city, 250 thousands of colorful tulips has planted. Istanbul Film Festival

The 32nd Istanbul Film Festival will take place 30 March–14 April 2013. The submissions period for feature-length fiction and documentary films has started. Please note that short films are not included in the festival program. During the opening ceromony of last year's festival, the new film of Terence Davies "The Deep Blue Sea" was performed. Fish Season & Fish and Bread in Istanbul Old city

Anyone who visits Istanbul must eat fish and bread (balık ekmek) in Eminonu Istanbul Old City(fish sandwich; balık=fish, ekmek=bread). Seriously. It's not a must in law or anything, but eating a grilled fish sandwich next to the sea is as required of tourists in Istanbul as many local people doing. Fruitfull fish season makes the people happy and enjoy more fish. It also effects the fish and bread prices to come down with much better taste of the cold water fishes. Please do not forget to have turnip pickle juice with fish and bread which is the regular local way as you will see.
